Go Direct® O2 + CO2 Gas Sensor Bundle

This bundle includes all the equipment you need to complete the photosynthesis and respiration lab experiment. It includes the Go Direct O2 Gas Sensor, the Go Direct CO2 Gas Sensor, and the BioChamber 2000.  The sensors connect via Bluetooth® wireless technology or via USB to your device.

The Go Direct O2 Gas Sensor measures gaseous oxygen concentration and air temperature. This sensor has a wide measurement range, which is ideal for studying human and cellular respiration. A 250 mL Nalgene bottle is included for running controlled experiments with small plants and animals.

The Go Direct O2 Gas Sensor can be used in a variety of experiments:

  • Test catalase activity under various conditions.
  • Measure oxygen consumption at rest and after exercise.
  • Measure the change in gas produced during photosynthesis.
  • Compare the rates of cell respiration in germinating and non-germinating peas.

 

Monitor changes in carbon dioxide, temperature, and relative humidity easily with the Go Direct CO2 Gas Sensor. This sensor includes built-in temperature compensation and humidity protection. A 250 mL Nalgene bottle is included for running controlled experiments with small plants and animals.

The Go Direct CO2 Gas Sensor is ideal for the following experiments:

  • Measure the change in gas concentration during cellular respiration.
  • Measure the change in gas concentration during photosynthesis.
  • Study the effect of temperature on cell respiration or metabolism of organisms.
  • Investigate artificial selection in yeast by comparing respiration rates of different strains.

 

The BioChamber 2000 is a 2000 mL plastic chamber that can be used with a CO2 Gas Sensor and an O2 Gas Sensor to monitor gaseous carbon dioxide and oxygen levels simultaneously in a closed system. The BioChamber 2000 is particularly useful when monitoring respiration and photosynthesis. The large top opening provides easy access to insert, adjust, or remove the sample.

The robust rechargeable battery offers long battery life and provides always-ready operation when using the sensor wirelessly. Monitor battery life directly from our free Graphical Analysis app or LabQuest 3 App. Should the battery run low, simply connect the sensor to the charging cable and keep on collecting—no interruptions or inconvenience to you or your students.

Wired or Wireless—The Flexibility to Choose

Our Go Direct sensors connect directly to your mobile device, Chromebook, or computer using our free Graphical Analysis app—no additional equipment or software purchases are necessary. Go Direct sensors can be used wired via USB or wirelessly via Bluetooth® wireless technology, allowing you to choose the solution best for your classroom or laboratory.
