In Experiment 13 from Advanced Physics with Vernier — Beyond Mechanics, students use the Large Capacitor as part of a DC circuit to examine the effect that capacitors and resistors have on the electric potential and current. To demonstrate the decay constant, students charge the Large Capacitor and place it in series with a light bulb—and then they can see the glow wane as the capacitor discharges.
