Get started exploring wind energy in your classroom with this introductory wind energy kit, which includes everything you need to build a direct-drive horizontal-axis wind turbine to generate electricity.

Students will learn engineering design principles as they quickly create, test, and modify their turbine blades. Explore blade variables such as length, pitch, and number of blades, and determine the most productive configuration.
